Contact tracing – Old models and new challenges

چکیده

Contact tracing is an effective method to control emerging infectious diseases. Since the 1980’s, modellers are developing a consistent theory for contact tracing, with aim find and efficient implementations, assess effects of on spread disease. Despite progress made in area, there remain important open questions. In addition, technological developments, especially field molecular biology (genetic sequencing pathogens) modern communication (digital tracing), have posed new challenges modelling community. present paper, we discuss approaches identify some current field.

Cryptosporidium species: new insights and old challenges.

Cryptosporidium species are protozoan parasites that cause mainly enteric illnesses in humans and other animals. The mode of transmission is most commonly waterborne, but other sources of infection, including foodborne and person-to-person spread, have been documented. The environmental form of the parasite is resistant to most water purification methods, including chlorination. Cryptosporidium...

Radiation epidemiology: old and new challenges.

Over the last 40 years the amount of knowledge about human radiation effects has increased dramatically. During that interval, radiation epidemiologists have documented a number of additional types of radiation-induced cancer and have established rough estimates of the magnitude of cancer risks. Nevertheless, we currently have inadequate knowledge about a number of factors that help define the ...
